Sol Dance Music Festival Fundraiser Concert
WIJAM proudly spearheads the annual Sol Dance Music Festival concert fundraiser at Jones Park in Appleton, Wisconsin. Each year, Sol Dance sets its sights on a different local nonprofit, and uses the festival as a way to raise money for that cause. For the 2025 event, the beneficiary selected is the Autism Society of the Fox Valley, a great group that offers support and assistance to families in our community with autism care needs. Festival organizer Jon Schinke shares his own story:
“In June of 2024, our three year old son George was diagnosed with autism. Since then, we have been introduced to the selfless and inspiring world of autism care and the amazing people who work tirelessly in this field to help families like ours, and kids like our little Georgie. It has since become our mission to do anything in our power to shine a light on this noble cause, and to help in any way we can. Our ability to utilize our existing Sol Dance fundraiser event seemed like the perfect way to help make a real impact.”
This year's Sol Dance will be headlined by Adam Greuel (of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades) & The Space Burritos, A-Town Unplugged, Grammy Award nominee Hillary Reynolds, and Appleton's own Ifdakar. There will be craft food and drinks, an art fair, face painting and balloon animals for the kids, and much more.
